Status:If you are interested in deploying as a first time Short-Term Observer (STO) with Amentum SPEO during the calendar year 2025, enter the vacancy number 2025NewSTO. This vacancy number is ONLY for individuals who have never applied or deployed with Amentm SPEO. The average length of deployment is 7-10 days. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis and will be contacted for interviews, reference checks and pre-deployment administration. Minimum Qualifications for Short-Term Observers (STOs) include: Prior experience observing or administering elections, which may include working or volunteering in a polling station as either an observer or administrator. Proven ability to demonstrate cultural understanding and sensitivity and to exercise sound, independent judgment in politically sensitive environments. Excellent health. Ability to work in a stressful environment under field conditions, including long hours over extended periods (day and night). Freedom from concurrent commitments that could produce conflict of interest with the election observation mission. Preparedness to read briefing materials, understand procedural instructions and complete election observation forms accurately. Written and spoken English language fluency; knowledge of the host-country language and knowledge of the host-country region is desirable.
